Beef Roulade (Indonesian Rolade Sapi)

Ingredients

Beef roulade:

  • 250 grams 1 cup ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 clove garlic finely chopped
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs

For the sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 cup peas
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Sugar to taste

Instructions

Beef roulade

  • Beat the eggs and add a little salt. Make a thin omelet, set aside
  • Mix all ingredients and roulade seasonings, stir until evenly distributed
  • Take a sheet of omelet skin and spread the roulade mixture evenly on the surface of the omelet skin. Roll up and close the roulade. Then wrap it in plastic or banana leaves. Steam for about 30 minutes. Remove and chill
  • Take the rolled roulade, cut into the thickness according to the taste
  • Heat some cooking oil on a flat griddle. Fry and flip until both sides are browned. Remove and serve with the sauce

  • Heat margarine, and saute onions until fragrant
  • Add flour. Stir wellPour in the broth slowly while stirring until smooth
  • Add Worcestershire sauce, sweet soy sauce, salt, sugar, and pepper. Stir until the sauce bubbles up. Remove and set aside
