Stout Beer Hot Chocolate with Ice Cream

Creamy hot chocolate, fortified with chocolate stout beer. This beer hot chocolate is an adult version of a classic winter warmer. It’s super chocolatey, rich, and satisfying especially with a scoop of ice cream in it.

Ingredients

  • 1 12-oz chocolate stout beer
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 scoops ice cream vanilla or chocolate flavor

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, bring the stout to a simmer (and not bubble over) over medium-high heat, about 10 minutes or until it is reduced to about 3/4 of a cup. Remove from the heat and set aside
  • In a separate saucepan, warm the milk over medium heat and not to bring it to a boil. Add in chocolate and sugar; and stir until all the chocolate is melted. Remove from the heat and mix with the reduced bver
