Notes

Choose a Dry Sake
A dry sake (Junmai or Junmai Ginjo) balances the sweetness of the blood orange juice without overpowering it.

Make It Sparkling
Top each glass with a splash of sparkling water, club soda, or prosecco for a lighter, bubbly cocktail.

Mocktail Version
Skip the sake and replace it with sparkling water or non-alcoholic sparkling wine for an equally refreshing drink.

Make Ahead
Mix the sake and blood orange juice up to one day in advance. Refrigerate until ready to serve, then shake with ice just before pouring.

Optional Upgrade
Rim the glass with a mixture of Tajín and flaky sea salt before serving.
