Smoky Jalapeno Poppers

Jalapeno poppers are my obsession, and these amazing Smoky Jalapeno Poppers are a game-day appetizer worth craving! Spicy, saucy, and melty-goodness fresh poppers make the best appetizer ever. Serve these bite-sized treats along with spam musubi, martabak telor, or minced meat satay.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces jalapeno peppers seeded and halved
  • 3 ounces beef chorizo
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package (8 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat, and lightly oil the grate.
  • In a medium bowl, combine chorizo, oregano, black pepper, and cheese. Spoon this mixture into the jalapeno pepper halves.
  • Grill the poppers on a less-hot part of the grill until the peppers are hot and juicy and cheese is melting.
