What are the ingredients to make no-bake salted caramel oat squares?

No unique ingredients required to make these squares. You only need

  • Butter
  • Peanut butter
  • Butterscotch chips
  • Marshmallows
  • Oat Cereal
  • Milk chocolate chips
  • Dark chocolate chips
  • Salt or sea salt

I use natural, no sugar, peanut butter for this recipe as it helps cut down on the sweetness of the bars, but it works well with any type of nut butter. If there are nut allergies in the house, you can substitute with a nut butter alternative such as Sunbutter.

How to make no-bake salted caramel oat squares?

First, you need melted butter, then combine it with peanut butter and butterscotch chips until they are all melted and combined. Add in marshmallow and continue to heat and stir until well blended.

Add oats in a bowl combine with liquid mixture over the top. Press into a 7×11 baking pan (baking dish) lined with parchment paper. Press with the back of your spoon or your slightly dampened hand.  Set aside.

Melt chocolate chips and the remaining butter in a microwave until chocolate is smooth. Then pour melted chocolate over the oat squares. Place in the fridge for 10 minutes and sprinkle with salt. Return to the fridge then cut into squares.

Yep, super easy and no baking required.
