This copycat Chick-fil-A sauce recipe is as close as you’re going to get to homemade Chick-fil-A classic dipping sauce! Drizzle this sauce over salad or use it as a dip in the comfort of your own home!

Home cooking is much healthier, and cheaper too. But, there are days when I just want comfort food, fried food, and finger-licking good sauce. And when that happens, I run to Chick-fil-A. Sad to say, that happens a lot on Sunday when they do not open. Of course, I can buy a large squeeze bottle of the sauce, but making it at home is so much easier.
And this copycat sauce recipe is one of my favorites. It’s smooth, comforting, and goes well as a dip or over a bowl of chicken salad.

The ingredients
If you enjoy my maple vinaigrette or beet vinaigrette, you will love this copycat sauce, also. It is only five ingredients and is ridiculously simple. I swear, it tastes identical to the real thing.
- Honey to add a hint of sweetness and add colors based on how light or dark the honey is
- Mustard. Use regular yellow mustard, although dijon mustard also works
- BBQ sauce. Any BBQ sauce works for this recipe; however, use a regular version and not honey BBQ sauce
- Lemon juice. can be substituted with apple cider vinegar
- Mayonnaise. I use light mayonnaise in this recipe
How to make copycat Chick-fil-a sauce
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until smooth and let it rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Kitchen fact: using a whisk makes this sauce blends better compared to using a spoon.
Best way to enjoy this copycat sauce
I like to enjoy this over chicken tenders, hotdogs, fries, salad, or as a spread for sandwich or burger. Basically, this goes well with everything.
