Some call it cinnamon butter or cinnamon honey butter. Regardless, this cinnamon butter recipe only takes 5 ingredients to make and goes well on EVERYTHING. It’s a Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter copycat that you won’t be able to live without!

1-2-3-4-5. Yes, it only takes 5 ingredients and 5 minutes to make this sweet and creamy butter. The best part of it? You get to enjoy it over pancakes, toast, muffins, and these pumpkin dinner rolls.
Speaking of dinner rolls, I found my inspiration for this cinnamon honey butter from Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter. It’s sweet, creamy, and delicious! And oh, if you’re all about butter, you will love this sweet and tart lilikoi butter, sweet and creamy strawberry butter, and savory miso butter.

The ingredients
You will need five basic ingredients and they are
- Butter. You can use either unsalted or salted butter; however, I prefer using unsalted butter
- Cinnamon powder. Be sure to use good quality cinnamon or the butter will not have much flavor and the pleasant aroma will be gone
- Liquid honey. Unlike cinnamon, liquid honey doesn’t go bad; however, liquid honey will granulate over a period of time and will change its appearance
- Powdered sugar to add extra sweetness
- Salt to balance the sweetness of this butter
How to make cinnamon honey butter
Bring the butter to room temperature and mix all the ingredients with a mixer until well combined and fluffy. Easy peasy!
Cinnamon powder vs. ground cinnamon
I’ve always thought all cinnamon is the same and although cinnamon powder and ground cinnamon are the same things, ground cinnamon has a finer texture.
Pro tips
Properly stored, ground cinnamon will generally stay at its best quality for about 3 to 4 years. Hence, if you use ground cinnamon a lot, get it in bulk and store it in smaller containers with tight-fitting lids in the pantry because extreme heat or cold will make it lose its potency.

And when you have old cinnamon, use it as a room spray or make a cinnamon air freshener.

Don’t throw butter wrappers away. Keep them in a plastic bag in the freezer and they can be used as muffin liners or to grease the skillets.
Kitchen tools
You will need a mixing bowl and a hand mixer to make this cinnamon butter recipe.
Storing
Cinnamon butter can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 1 month or at room temperature for 1 week.
Now you can make this butter recipe and recreate your Texas Roadhouse moment at home. And the results are incredible!
