These Instant Pot Jalapeno Sticky Wings are super easy, super delicious, and an addictive starter, so be prepared to make a second—or third—batch right away.

I hope you’ve joined the instant pot revolution by now. I remembered when I first learned about the slow cooker, it took me a while…years to finally realize how helpful it is. But things got changed recently and I’ve been pressure cooking now for quite some time and it’s changed my life.

Let’s face it. We’re all busy. Work. Kids. Traffic. Errands. Lots of endless responsibilities; hence, “me-time” is considered a luxury. And that’s how I feel about the pressure cooker (read: so I can have more me-time).

These Instant Pot Jalapeno Sticky Wings are super easy, super delicious, and an addictive starter, so be prepared to make a second—or third—batch right away.

If you’re new to this pressure cooking wagon, let me tell you some easy recipes you try at home:

  • Chicken Fajitas. Chicken Fajitas. Walk into the warm aroma of simmering meat with bell peppers, onions and Mexican spices as you prepare to stuff your favorite tortillas or load your plates with delicious fajitas. This Tejano or Tex–Mex dish originated in northern Mexico and quickly became popular in the United States. Traditionally made with grilled meat, our version offers a hearty bite of potato to an already star-studded cast of ingredients and brings all of the flavors together in a quick Instant Pot rendition.
  • Orange Chicken. Instant Pot Orange Chicken is healthier than takeout and easy to make using your Instant Pot. Made with fresh orange juice and orange zest for great flavor.
  • Miso Salmon. Instant Pot Miso Salmon is a go-to for busy nights; it has all of the flavors you crave with this Asian inspired dish and the convenience of instant pot cooking.
  • Chicken Marsala. This Easy Instant Pot Chicken Marsala is one of the easiest dinner ever! It’s creamy, succulent, ultra-flavorful, and easy to pull off. It comes together in about 30 minutes, which in my book, makes it the perfect weeknight meal.

…and this Instant Pot Jalapeno Sticky Wings

These Instant Pot Jalapeno Sticky Wings are super easy, super delicious, and an addictive starter, so be prepared to make a second—or third—batch right away.

This chicken wing recipe is perfect for the upcoming game day (super bowl) or any other days because a game day without wings is just wrong so I’m bringing you the classic but flavorful. So easy to make, so crispy like fried wings, but taste so much better like baked chicken wings.

Okay enough learnin’, let’s talk about this recipe.

These Instant Pot Jalapeno Sticky Wings are super easy, super delicious, and an addictive starter, so be prepared to make a second—or third—batch right away.

Instant Pot Jalapeno Sticky Wings Ingredients.

  • Your favorite wing sauce or barbecue sauce. I like sauce that is not too strong or you can make a simple BBQ sauce at home – ketchup, vinegar, and brown sugar.
  • Brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce. These will balance out the barbecue sauce.
  • Garlic. I suggest using whole garlic cloves and not garlic powder to bring out the best flavor.
  • Chicken wings. You can’t skip the main ingredient, can you?
  • Honey and Jalapeno Jelly. You can substitute jalapeno jelly with jalapeno chili – seeded and finely chopped.

How to make Instant Pot Jalapeno Sticky Wings?

  • Add oil and turn your Instant pot to saute high. Add chicken wings in one layer. Saute the chicken and flip every 3-4 minutes. Once the color turns light golden brown, remove from the Instant Pot. Do NOT fully cook the chicken. Hit cancel.
  • In a large bowl, add all the sauce ingredients and stir to combine. Add the chicken and sauce to the Instant Pot. Set the valve on top to seal. Set on high pressure for 8 minutes. Quickly release the value on top until all the pressure has released.
  • Carefully remove the lid and place the cooked chicken wings on a pan lined with foil. Baste them with the remaining bbq sauce in the Instant Pot. Broil the chicken in the oven on high for 5 minutes to allow the bbq to caramelize. Turn the wings over, baste and then broil for another 2 minutes.

See you should now feel better about using your pressure cooker or buying a new one and make these jalapeno sticky wings!
