Panna cotta. Sounds fancy. And this strawberry lychee flavor? While it looks fancy, it is actually a very easy dessert to make and it only takes a few minutes to whip. Ingredients needed for strawberry lychee panna cotta
To make this creamy no-bake dessert, all you need are the ingredients listed below.
- Gelatin. Use an unflavored package; you can get this easily at any supermarket or online, and Knox is my favorite.
- Heavy cream, half and half to mix with gelatin
- Fresh fruits: strawberry and lychee
Where to find fresh lychee
Lychee is considered seasonal fruit since they’re usually available between May to September. In case you can’t find fresh lychee, you can try using canned lychees.
Recipe variations
Instead of lychee, you can substitute it with cocoa powder to make strawberry chocolate panna cotta. Depending on the cocoa powder, you might want to add granulated sugar to the cream in order to make it sweet.
Substitute milk with nut milk, such as almond milk or cashew milk.
Storing
Store any leftover panna cotta in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
Freezing panna cotta
You certainly can freeze panna cotta in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two months.
